Course: Healthcare Acupressure and Tuina Therapy（养生经络推拿） Course Synopsis TCM, an oriental and complete medical system arising from a living tradition of literate knowledge that spans at least 5,000 years from China. Resting upon a well-structured, solid and coherent theoretical basis (Yin-yang, five elements, meridian systems). TCM does provides an integral framework for understanding, interpreting, and organizing intervention in the human health-disease process. The contents of the course will be introduced as the following: 1)The necessity of understanding the importance of Yin-Yang and five elements theory with the five yin-organs and six yang-organs, which act as the core functional units in TCM. 2)Introduction of the meridian system, a distribution network for the fundamental substances of Qi (pronounced chee), Blood and Body Fluids throughout the body. Understanding the physiological and pathological terms in TCM through the process of meridian system and acupoints learning. The increment of “civil diseases” has improved the popularity of variety conservative treatments or solutions in medical. Chinese meridian acupressure becomes commonly suited for rectifying more miscellaneous illness such as chronic pains from musculoskeletal conditions (including soft tissue injuries), indefinite factors of neurology diseases, hormonal stress-related disorders that affect the digestive, respiratory or cardiology systems etc. In summary, meridian acupressure rectifies anatomical anomalies, alters the inner energy state of the biological system and adjusts the bio-information of the body instantly. The objective of the course is to familiarize the route of all 12 regular meridians in our body through the understanding of theoretical principles of TCM, and practical practice the anatomical position of the essential Acupoints in clinical. Applying basic acupressure, useful Tuina therapy and recommended physical exercise for individual diseases or injuries.
