  Medical Insurance Scheme

Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has put in place Medical Insurance under which all its students (optional) will be insured by Group Hospital & Surgical Insurance.

The Group Hospital & Surgical Insurance is an expense reimbursement plan with a limit of up to S$20,000 per year. It will help to reduce the financial burden of the insured student in the event that he/she needs to be hospitalised in government/restructured hospitals.

The medical insurance scheme shall minimally provide for Minimum features/coverage:
(1) Annual limit not less than $20,000 per student.
(2) At least B2 ward (in government and restructured hospital).
(3) 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in school-related activities).

Claims Process:
Students need to submit all requested documents to the insurance company within 30 days from date of discharge from hospital and to claim from the insurance company (The College can assist to submit such information on behalf of the student to the insurance company)

Make a Claim

Please submit the following documents to Insurance provider within 30 days after discharge from hospital.
For hospitalization in Government / Restructured Hospital

  1. Duly completed and signed claim form (Page 2) and a copy of the student pass
  2. All original final hospital bills, doctor’s/specialist’s bills and receipts
  3. Inpatient Discharge Summary
  4. Inpatient Admission Report (if available)
  5. Day Surgery Admission Report (if available)

For hospitalization in Private Hospital / Hospital outside Singapore

  • Duly completed and signed claim form (Page 2) and a copy of the student pass
  • All original final hospital bills, doctor’s/specialist’s bills and receipts
  • Medical Report from attending physician/ specialist (page 3)
  • Inpatient Admission Report (if available)
  • Day Surgery Admission Report (if available)
