MASTER PROGRAM IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE (CHINESE) -(JOINTLY CONDUCTED WITH NANJING UNIVERSITY OF CHINESE MEDICINE)

To train a TCM related professional with a solid foundation of Chinese medicine treatment and practical skills, so as to promote the development of Chinese medicine.

Entry Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree in TCM from any China TCM Universities or
  • Advanced Diploma in TCM from Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine or equivalent

Language Proficiency: Minimum Grade C6 in Chinese at O level or equivalent or higher

Qualification:

Successfully pass all required subjects and master thesis, upon the Evaluation Committee approval, award master in medical science relevant discipline confer by Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

Schools of Talk In Chinese Medicines

Compulsory subject. Focus mainly on Shanghan Pai, Hanliang Pai, Gongxie Pai, Butu Pai, Yangyin Pai, Wenbu Pai, Wenbing Pai, the seven medical schools and their respective academic ideology and clinical experiences.

TCM Medical Case Study

Compulsory subject. Based on TCM theory, select the famous ancient TCM medical record references, under the guidance and explanation of the lecturers/tutors, allow the students to master the technique of examining, assessing and organizing TCM Medical Records.

Clinical Application and Theory of Seasonal Febrile Diseases

Compulsory subject. Mainly cover the Shanghan Lun six meridians syndrome differentiations system and clinical application of the different classes of formula, explain the application methods, in order to strengthen the students’ clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment.

Clinical Acupuncture and Basic Research

Compulsory subject. Mainly focus on the meridians theory, the development of acupuncture locally and internationally, commonly used acupuncture techniques in common diseases (including insertion techniques, moxibustion, ear acupoints, acupoint injection), acupuncture scientific research.

Clinical Application and Characteristic in Acupuncture Treatment

Compulsory subject. Mainly focus on the clinical application of commonly used unique acupuncture techniques principles, methods, indications and contraindications.

Characteristics Therapy of TCM Internal Medicine

Compulsory subject. Mainly focus on the common Chinese medicine unique treatment principles, methods, indications and contraindications.

Research of Modern TCM Internal Medicine

Compulsory subject. Mainly focus on the Chinese medicine clinical research new progress and new achievements. Explain the principles, research progress, modern treatment techniques on common diseases based on both TCM and Western medicine aspect.

Professional Subject

Determine by lecturers/tutors

 

Compulsory subject. Mainly focus on the professional degree dissertation topics and the study of the new progress and results of the clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Dissertation

No specific course hours

 

Compulsory subject. Under the guidance of lecturers/tutors, research a wide range of local and international literature, analyze and complete a literature analysis. Under the guidance of lecturers/tutors, complete an independent research paper.
